Our Services

Transforming Street Energy into Community Energy~ Putting the Neighbor back into the Hood”

ABOUT US

The Agape Movement functions as an umbrella organization providing training opportunities for young adults.

We address systematic inequities and offer ideas to reform the criminal justice system. We work at preventing further violence by creating job and training opportunities through personal interaction and boots-on-the-ground interaction.

YOUTH & COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Violence is a public health crisis, and we need to heal our whole community from the ground up. We provide young people and our community a range of wraparound services and educational opportunities through regular programming at The Agape Movement.

VIOLENCE INTERVENTION & PREVENTION SPECIALISTS

Boots on the Ground VIPS”

Our Violence Intervention and Prevention Specialists (VIPS) are frontline workers who canvass our communities daily, mediating conflicts and de-escalating gun violence, domestic abuse, teen dating violence and violence in the workplace. Agape VIP’s mentor youth participants, preventing them from entering the school-to-prison pipeline. In addition, our VIPS distribute educational and informative materials to community members and partners.

We are committed to working with men and women in the communities on violence prevention, violence intervention and enhancing our strategic approach to community policing. By investing in community-based programs and neighborhood-led initiatives, we can effectively and sustainably reduce violence.

The Agape Movement Boots on the Ground program offers assistance to any community, business, and municipality that needs help.  These partnerships help build relationships between the stores and their neighborhoods; reducing and deterring crime; and creates a sense of community in the stores through every experience. In addition, our Boots on the Ground VIPS team has logged over 4,100 hours engaging with the community sharing our services to those struggling.
